D&S Cafeteria

I ordered a Big Hardee Burger and looked at the store rating and they had a 100 rating. This was the best tasting burger I have had in a long time. I will definitely return again when I travel through Selma NC

Food was good. Staff was not very attentive to the customers and it seemed we were imposing on them to ask for anything.

Got back to my office and realized that an item was missing. Called the restaurant and spoke to Tiffany. She was very apologetic. I would definitely go back. A really nice staff.

The restaurant is still a top pick to bring family and friends when they visit from out of town for a quick healthy meal.

The only drawback is that on this occasion and a few others we experienced some extra salty foods. Today my sister and I had the smothered (chicken in gravy) and the skin of the chicken was very salty. My sister said the same about the green beans being salty as well. The saltiness of the green beans has been my experience in the past, so I didn't choose them this time. The place is great! The food delicious. The customer service is top notch for the regulars. I will still visit, but I have determined which choices of items I should not make. I was also surprised that the chicken entree had an accompanying side, but it cost extra. It was $1.89 for white rice. I understand the pandemic has hit us all, but it is disappointing to have to pay for the normal accompanying side.
We also discovered that one of our items (potato salad)did not get bagged (left out) of our order when we got home. Everyone seemed distracted today. We entered the restaurant at about 7:08. I asked the cashier if we should carry out or is it OK to eat in? She told me to do carry out. Well, about 4 or more parties entered after us and they ate in the fining area of the restaurant. What was that all about? I asked to be courteous and conscious of their time.

This is an awesome place to eat the owner is always present. He and his wife is very friendly. The food is excellent. And the service is great and fast. You get a home cooked meal! Thank you Dian and Sylvester. Your food service is appreciated.👍👍👍

Good soul food cooking! Mr. Smith puts his heart and soul into his delicious, signature dishes. For many years, D&S has been one of my favorite places to eat. The employees are pleasant and make you feel appreciated. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Smith for your food and generosity.

D&S was usually a fall back option when the K&W at Cameron was too busy, but let me say, no more. The food over the last few visits has been great. Wide menu selections along with the classic stand by favorites. Their Covid-19 policies are excellent for a cafeteria setting. Try the turkey and dressing, you won't be disappointed. The cornbread is a new favorite. Haven't had a bad dish yet and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The fool is good, like home cook meals.
