Green Valley Southern Baptist Church

Small church with a heart for winning souls. The Bible is the infallible truth of God. Salvation is only through God's Son, the Messiah Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

It has been months since I attended this Church as I had to return home from MVNU to tend to emergencies, and I did not get to attend this church nearly as much as I'd hope to: but I do have to give thanks and praise for this congregation.

Pastor David faithfully exposits Scripture with every sermon I've ever seen him give, he also has a vested interest in all who attend his church, even if they aren't official members. Pastor David's passion lights up the sanctuary every Sunday, and it's a genuine joy to be fed the word of God from such a servant.
He and the congregation made me feel like a welcome member from my very first time attending a Sunday morning service. This is family of Christ may be small in physical size, but their heart for the Lord is larger than can be easily attested to. This is a people who genuinely love the Lord and others.

I'd recommend anyone from MVNU (especially Ministry students wanting to intern under a faithful Pastor), Mount Vernon itself, and the general area surrounding Mount Vernon to attend attend Green Valley Southern Baptist Church if you're looking for a good church to call home.

Went today with my family. Loved the people and the pastor. Felt more than welcomed and listened to a good solid message. Would love to come back again!
