Avis Car Rental

Although it's a small airport, I love renting from the Avis location at the Toledo Express Airport. They always have a great selection of vehicles, are friendly, and always resolve issues quickly and with a heartfelt smile.

Booked through Priceline. Sparing a loonng story, we were not able to get a rental car. After calling and canceling through Priceline, the nice person behind the counter was able to then get us all set with a car for the few days we were in Toledo visiting family. She even had to stay past the closing time to assist us. My husband and I were so appreciative of her helping us out. (We cannont remember her name!) The rental car was so clean and was perfect!

The car was nice and clean and exactly what we needed to take my kids to school and do my weekly errands after a deer totaled my car and while waiting for the car insurance to do its part. We got it on a Sunday and The service was so nice and helpful and super fast in and out, we parked in short term parking and wasn't even in there for pick up or drop up past the free 15 minutes allowed. The website made it beyond easy and none stressful when I needed to change my drop off time, and I got an email for a free upgrade next time I rent with them I plan on trying to use in the near future and try out one of the bigger vehicles.

Nice airport and Nice People, but be careful because you cannot rent a car after 530pm during the week or 3pm on weekends. Why?? Because no one wants to go back to work. Some employees are opting to stay home and collect govt. $$$ So Avis cannot staff any additional counter hours. The staff that were there to assist were very helpful and friendly. The cars are aging because of the chip shortage, their new 2021 cars have not arrived. So the car I was put in was older and had 25,000+ miles but it was clean and ran fine, so I was ok. I've had better experiences, but I feel like the friendly staff, clean airport, and honesty of the Avis team in Toledo Airport were worthy of the 4+ stars.
