Loved it great place to hang out and relax
Owner & staff are super friendly. Site was level. Even bought some local honey & maple syrup that the owner makes himself. Bathrooms were clean and had plenty of hot water, but a little dated.
This place is my happy place!. My fiances family owns a lot up here and we visit every summer. This place is very well maintained and managed nicely. The have a nice little gift shop in their office where you check in and an onsite bar, which is great if you just want to relax. It is clean and there is never any rif raff going on. Everyone is friendly and you can catch just about any type of fish up here. There is a spot to clean your fish and a nice public shower and restrooms....or if you gotta go there are out houses to use as well LOL !!! If you need a nice lot to rent or a get away this is perfect and right outside of sandusky and Port Clinton. My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and will be back!! Thank you!
My husband and I are doing a cross country trip and decided to stay here for three nights during our travel. We loved it here. Great little bar located in the general store. All the customers we came in contact with that were either renters on the premise or local neighbors were all so kind. BILLIE the bartender was great. Loved the Long Island Ice Teas she made us and only $5.00. We would definitely recommend this campground. Our view was directly of the water with all the boats. We visited Cedar Point which was about forty minutes away. Thank you Magee Campground for a wonderful stay
Very friendly staff. $5 Launch ramp fee. You can't beat that. They have 4 ramps so no waiting.
There's a bride that you will go under before reaching the lake. It is low and if you have a cabin or a T-top on your boat, it may not fit. I would ask them about it first before going there.
I have a Phantom boat from Smoker Craft with very high windshield and I have no issues.
I usually see a water snake or two crossing the channel. It's fun to point out to your guests.
They have worms, ice and good selection of tackle as well. It is one of my favorite place to launch.
