My first driving in Oklahoma, I was on the highway for a few moments & asked my passengers what the speed limit was in this state, the response was a Highway Patrolman coming up fast. Obviously I was going too fast.
I pulled over as soon as I found a semi safe place. The Trooper was profession & polite & I of course was apologetic. He told me what the speed limits were in the state & then after running my license through the system he came back to me with a warning & a "Have a nice day".
I apologized again, especially for him risking his life stepping out of his vehicle on a very busy highway. I can only say thank you Trooper York for all that you do & for giving an old guy like me a break. God bless you all!
We needed a police report for an accident and officer Rawls was very helpful. In fact, I was grateful for him escorting us off of the highway to a local gas station for safety. As he put the head of his car out in traffic for the oncoming cars to get in the left lane (to provide a safe entrance back into traffic for us) they (other cars) quickly dipped back to the right lane right after passing him barely letting us in. It was crazy! This made it very clear that we did not to conduct that business on the side of the highway. Also given the high number of incidents of people getting hit while stalled on the side of the road - I was very glad to move to a safe space. Thank you Officer Rawls for putting safety first and getting me back on the road to Texas quickly ;).

These troopers are absolutely amazing! They work their tails off to keep their citizens safe. They miss holidays, birthdays, and family functions to keep us protected. Their personalities are each very unique however they are all very friendly and courteous towards the citizens they deal with on a daily basis. Each person's opinion differs however I personally want to thank all of you (troopers) for all you do. Stay safe out there and know we have your 6
