One of my favorite hiking spots. The gravel road gets you to the river quickly the blue trail takes you up the hill and has some astounding views.
Beautiful, wide trail!! Love the moss and ferns everywhere, wear boots to cross the creek!! Love the small waterfalls along the trail!!
If you go over the creek to the right of the gate there's a more challenging path that takes you to the river. It's not marked but pretty easy to follow. Footing can be slippery.
Perfect little short and easy stroll in these old woods. Awesome creek and rock formations and a few small waterfalls. We took our 3 year old and our newborn and nobody struggled. Quick family hike. Saw a few small paw paw trees, and a family of garter snakes. You end at the river with a great view and peach bottom atmic plant across the river.
This conservatory is a great place to relax and take a leisure walk along one the contributories of the Susquehanna River. It has mini waterfalls along its path, but I think the biggest reward of the walk is at the end where you can see the Susquehanna Surrounded by the towering hills of York County.
