Really awesome place!
Great place to see at any age! Canal rides are very interesting (the ride does cost money). You can also walk on the towpath and watch the freight trains go by. On the towpath there is information about the canal and nature. Some areas do have public restrooms, some interesting people have lived along the canal.

Get Your Tail on the Trail was a hit from the get-go. The initial 165 mile challenge was launched in May 2013 with the thinking that 250 people participating in the program would mark the program as a success. In the first six months of the program, 2,455 people signed up. They logged 255,392 miles.
Two other "Conversations on the Canal" evening lock rides are currently scheduled, for August 23 and September 27, and a Saturday afternoon lock ride is tentatively scheduled for October. The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L) will hold its inaugural "Spring Dinner & Silent Auction," 6 p.m. April 30, Northampton Country Club, 5049 William Penn Highway, Easton. Proceeds will help fund many aspects of the organization including the National Canal Museum, D&L Trail system and educational programs.
