After researching foot and ankle orthopedists, I was fortunate to fined Dr. Valdez. I was impressed with the results he had with an Olympic silver medalist in the Tom Telez/Carl Lewis sprinters' group.

Over a three year period, he surgically corrected both of my Achilles' tendons. On my right foot, the amount of calcification and scar tissue had caused the tendon to completely detach from my heal. Post surgery and rehab, I was able to resume normal exercise and sports events for the first time in over 5 years.

I also referred a female friend of mine who is a competitive dancer. Despite seeing other doctors, she found that her sprained ankle was getting worse. After non-surgical treatment from Dr. Valdez, her ankle healed completely in less than 2 months. In my opinion, Dr. Ray Valdez is the orthopedist to see for active people with foot and ankle problems.
