(August 21, 2019, 4:16 pm)I had a lot of anxiety going into this procedure but so far, 7 days after, I can say that the procedure went very well with no problems. The pre-op appt provided all of the warnings and preparation that I needed. I followed all of the recommendations before the procedure and just as predicted my pain was significantly reduced after 24 hours. I felt so good the second day that I went to the gym and walked on the elliptical and did a few squats. Although on retrospect I think the pain meds were kicking in at that point lol! I have stopped the opiods and decided to tough it out since day 5 and the cramping feels like menstrual cramps so I'm ok. I am very grateful to have avoided invasive surgery, and I'm headed back to work tomorrow. I highly recommend this procedure (UFE) to address fibroids.
My only complaint would be that discharge after the procedure is pretty quick/ sudden and I did not feel ready to leave when it was time to go. The staff and nurses took great care of me before during and after. Be prepared to go home a bit groggy and make sure you have a great caregiver like my mom on the first day. -

(May 14, 2019, 3:23 pm)Wonderful caring staff and Dr. Harde is the best. They made me feel very comfortable during my procedure and kept me informed about the process as they worked. They kept checking on me every few minutes to ensure I was doing okay and not in pain.
