Dr. Ali F. Candas, MD

Dr Candas and his resident saw my son this week. Both were extremely personable and caring. They explained their role and what they could do for us very well. I am so happy with this clinic. My kids didn’t like their last pediatrician.

Nurse Practitioner, Laura, is wonderful! She never rushes us, and she takes time to explain any testing that may be needed. My son had a terrible cough and fever. His lungs sounded like tin foil being crushed into a ball. Laura ordered an X-ray of his chest to verify whether or not he had pneumonia. She knew how worried I was. The next day she called me to let me know the results. Thank God! He didn’t have pneumonia after all.

The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It certainly is not Laura; rather, it’s the support staff around her. They are almost lethargic. Clearly they do want to be there. A couple of times, I’ve had to wait for well over an hour. It’s impossible to tell my boss how long I’ll be at the dentist. So, I have to take the entire day off.
I know that waiting for a long time happens in most, if not all, doctor’s offices but that’s my only complaint.

Got recommended to Children's Clinic and NA there, so had first Well Baby there, and was happy they had separate waiting room. Dr Candas, who has to initially see her, was sincerely kind and caring, as well as helpful and not condescending at all. Got in and finished quickly and had forgotten a question which he came back to answer asap. The one complaint my family, who brought us, and I had was the seating in waiting room. Seems odd but notably uncomfortable. Especially for me postpartum. Will continue to bring baby to them and share how it goes! Thankful to them!
