I have been a patient of Dr. Piccioni for 3 years after the retirement of my long time physician. It has been an exceptional experience! Dr. Piccioni is knowledgeable, thorough and has genuine care for his patients. Tidewater Family Practise actually has a family practice feel. It includes his daughter Dr. Paulson, who treat my wife and Mother. It also includes other family members and a very friendly, helpful staff!
It is not unusual for me to need an appointment and they're able to squeeze me in same day. A rare thing these days!

My husband and I, who are retired medical professionals, have been patients of Dr. Piccioni for 15 years. Dr. Piccioni and his staff, which include family members (literally is a friendly family medical practice) have been outstanding in their care. With my husband Dr. Piccioni diagnosed a rare disorder and with me he has treated my chronic allergies. His early training in pharmacology is evident in his management of prescriptions. Dr. Piccioni has referred us to outstanding specialists when it was needed. He spends time getting to know his patients and truly cares about them. The office has been responsive and Dr. Piccioni has called to let us know about abnormal test results.
I have gone to Dr Piccioni for 15+ years. He is comprehensive and thorough. He genuinely cares about his patients. It is not uncommon that I receive a call directly from him at night and/or a weekend to discuss a lab or test result that has come back. I wouldn’t be alive today without his diligence. I am a 3 time cancer SURVIVOR due to his ability to catch each occurrence in the early stages. I have referred at least a dozen other people to this practice and all agree he is one of the best in Hampton Roads. His support team is both professional and accommodating. A rare breed in today’s medical community.
Dr. Piccioni was highly recommended to me and I have to agree...I was very happy with the whole experience. Yes, I had to wait to be seen but this seems rather typical of any doctor I have gone to. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Piccioni is amazing. Very thorough and really takes the time to listen and HEAR you. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for complete medical care!
