(January 15, 2016, 12:50 pm)My old stomping grounds. From 1965 to 1977 I grew up in these woods. Kemper Park, named after Kemper Beard, the great man who built the subdivision Kemper Park, and my father's favorite boss ever. What a great way to grow up in these woods, building tree forts, catching frogs down at the creek, riding bikes and dirt bikes through the trails, and shooting hoops at the b-ball court. Good times, good times.
