  Sunnyside Cafe & Restaurant is a relaxing environment and outstanding service. Always ask for ELENI she is by far the best server in the establishment the rest of the servers are great as well she is just the best. There is a large variety of selections available on their menu. The dishes are of large portions. The quality of the dishes are on or well above par. We all need Sunnyside to start our days. My breakfast for 2 days in a row. Fantastic service and fantastic food. Great coffee too and oh I got a T-shirt too. Thank you for your service I will be sure to visit again in the future. Much love from Scotland

  Sunnyside Cafe & Restaurant is located along Atlantic Avenue at 5th Street at the the Oceanfront. The place is easy to find along Atlantic Ave., but parking is limited in the back. You won't be able to park in the hotel parking next door. My visit here was on January 1, 2020.
  
  Each new year, we try to visit a place that we haven't been to before. We decided to give this place a try, as we normally don't go down to the oceanfront. We got here around 9 am. It was already busy, but we were immediately seated. Within moments, our server came to the table. We decided to go with having a Bloody Mary for a drink while we looked over the menu. A few minutes later, our server came back over and we were ready to order. I ended up going with their French Toast Combo with all bacon as the meat. My mom went with the Classic Eggs Benedict.
  
  About 10 minutes later, our orders came out to the table. The food came out very hot. It's always good when it comes out hot. The French Toast was really good, along with the bacon and eggs. Butter was adequate. I asked about apple butter, but they didn't have that, so I went with syrup instead. Although they don't do it here, I do prefer a heated syrup instead of a cold syrup. My mom said that the Classic Eggs Benedict were good as well. We didn't get much further interaction with our server until after we were done and were ready for the check. I can understand in this case with them having several tables to manage.
  
  Overall, this was a very good first visit for breakfast. I didn't really pay attention to the decor in here on this visit since it was so busy. The service was okay as they were spread pretty thin that day, but the food overall was really good. If you are down at the oceanfront, this is a great place to check out for breakfast.

  The menu is extensive with something for everyone. Our party ordered a variety of omlets each of which was splendid. We also had pancakes, french toast, hash browns all of which were delicious. Our server Anna was a delight. She was thoroughly familiar with the menu and very attentive to our needs. Last but certainly not least the bathrooms were very clean.

  This is a hidden gem on Virginia Beach oceanfront. I was truly amazed at the menu options which gave a nice selection for those who like to sample alittle bit of everything. This is one menu option that makes them stand out from other breakfast places. I had the sampler which let you try the French toast and waffle. The hot latte was a great compliment to the meal, its hard to find many places that make lattes. The panacakes were good and the fruit was fresh. Great place to indulge and take in the ocean scenery with a walk on the board walk which is literally across the street.

  This place was a great choice after walking out of the previous dump we went for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and nice. Place was very clean s well as the ladies restroom. We got our food within 8 minutes of ordering and the place had 7 families dinning as well and they were able to serve us our food. Food was really good. Their pancakes were really great and pricing for food was affordable. Will hit this spot again when in the area.
