Reviews had me worried but when I arrived there was a line of trucks parked on road I assume waiting for appointment. Went around and into gate with no wait. Arrived 0125 for 0200 appointment, immediately was put in door and instantly started unloading. Lumper & paperwork was fast, employees all friendly. Was in and out of facility in 1 hour.

The was just my experience. My lumper was prepaid and my appointment was for 11pm . I got there at 10:27pm they let me go in and check in. I got a door right away and was unloaded at 11:15 pm. The guy that you check in with for the lumper service was an A-hole. But it was more just attitude than anything. Overall great experience. To me if it’s prepaid it seems like you will get out a lot faster or maybe I just got lucky.

Honestly the worst part of delivering here is the gate. Not because of the guards tho. The gate is almost right off the street, at a traffic light and everyone shows up at once. My notes said don't arrive earlier that 30 mins before appt. By the time I got to and thru the gate, I had been in line for over an hour. It's made worse by inconsiderate drivers trying to cut in line after getting to the light and realizing that's the entrance.
Guards will direct you. You must have a hi-viz vest. They will give you a pass you need to clip on yourself. You need the pass and a vest to check in with receiving. Lumpers will text you a link to pay once you're unloaded. Lumpers may ask you to move to a parking spot after you get a green if they need the dock for another truck. Unloading time averages 4 hours from check-in to paperwork based on my visits here. No street parking and no legal parking nearby so keep that in mind. Nearest stop in the Port of Tacoma Loves and good luck with that.
